
Fred Thomson, 1943-2024
Fred's hometown is Monticello, FL. He graduated from FSU with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1965, and was admitted to the Beta Gamma Sigma business honorary society. He worked as a staff accountant in a CPA firm in Titusville, FL until 1969, then moved back to Tallahassee to continue in the practice of accounting. He became a partner in a local Tallahassee firm in 1971, left to become a sole proprietor in 1972, and was a founding partner of what is now Thomson Brock Luger & Company in 1974. He moved to an ‘of counsel’ status with the firm in 2005 with forty years of accounting practice experience at that time. After an extended battle with cancer, Fred passed away on November 26th 2024.
